There's no argument that household chores are great
for kids.
Not only do they teach responsibility, they introduce
children to their role in the family, what will be expected
of them as adults and how to appreciate everything Mom
and Dad do to keep them safe and healthy. The argument
actually comes when you try to get them to do them.
Let Dixie brand handle this:
- Use one Dixie paper plate and fridge magnet per
child
- With markers, divide the plate into equal sections,
like a pie, with one chore written in each section
- Pin to the fridge, using the magnet as a marker
on the 'slice' that child needs to do that day
- Move the magnet will move every day to a new chore
When duties are this crystal-clear, there's no argument
here.
