Paper Plate Fish Bowl
Take a dive with underwater friends.
What you'll need:
1 paper plate
glue
scissors
fish pictures cut out from an old magazine and/or
fish-shaped crackers
assorted colored tissue paper or crepe paper
leaves and shells (optional)
hole punch
yarn
clear cellophane
Instructions:
Step 1: Rip up pieces of tissue or crepe paper into
small pieces and glue to the paper plate. Use blue paper
at the top for water, tan or yellow paper at the bottom
for sand. Green paper can be underwater plants. Turquoise,
pink and orange look like coral.
Step 2: Cut out pictures of fish from old magazines
and glue them to the plate. Fish-shaped crackers also
work well. If you have them, glue leaves and shells
to the plate, too.
Step 3: Once dry, cover the entire plate with clear
cellophane to give a fishbowl effect. If necessary,
use tape to hold the cellophane in place
Step 4: Punch a hole in the top of the plate and tie
on a piece of yarn for hanging.
